If it were my T5 this would be my new BCM coding:

A0F2793A0A61341393288F716CEB9FD50290662F7E8D78C0320003020800

New functions:
- Automatic lights.
- CH/LH. (via Bixenon)
- Cornering lights ON when reverse.
- DRL, winking with turn signal.
- Tear Wiping active. To try to get the RLS as clean as possible after using the windshield wiper.

Thanks for confirming.👌
A much easier task than the one indicated in this thread for other T5s with different PR codes, your T5 already had a nice factory equipment.😎
Enjoy it!!!!

Hi @cicio,

are you still making these looms? I've got a T5.1 2013 year with the big plug light switch. I'd like to retrofit auto lights etc and have the mirror and sensor but not the right switch etc. which of the posts is the best one to read to get a clear understanding fo how to fit this as theres 34 pages of goodness here :-)

Hi mfourc, welcome.

I don't do these wiring looms anymore, sorry.🙏
These teaching and learning processes on wiring looms on the vw PQ25 platform ended up scattered throughout the forum.

I recommend reading this thread as a starting point, but currently, for T5, it is best to follow the electrical installation that was made in the Limalex thread.
(everything evolves, but the above is also good)

In order to give the OK to deal with these electrical installations, I recommend posting an Autoscan here before starting with them.
I will always be here, to give the OK and to help with the final coding, but not for assistance in the physical installation of the wires (read the threads for this).

Hiya All,

Loads of great information in this thread.

I have a question of curiosity: with fitting a T6 7E0 090 BCM, why has the option of wiring the van exactly as the OEM diagram not been used instead of fitting relays and alike?

Can the BCM not handle all the light functions on a T5.1 but can on a T6?

Or is it a matter of parameters not being on the BCM?

Kind regards

Very summarized:
- There are two types of "OEM" electrical installations for the management of automatic lights on the PQ25 platform, and they depend on the model/year of BCM "MAX".

- The BCM MAX 7E0 can manage both types of electrical installations. It add Light Assist function.

- The previous BCM MAX to 7E0 (7H0 with D exception), can only manage the automatic lights through a Relay, and depending on the original electrical installation of the VW PQ25 model it is necessary to add another relay for the front fog lights.

The original electrical installation, the model/year of BCM that the owner of the VW PQ25 vehicle wants to install and what he wants to achieve, requires one electrical installation or the other.

In this forum all kinds of possible electrical installations have been made for the management of automatic lights for the entire PQ25... and many other related inventions. A complete success. 100% OEM.

Hi Ciclo,

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

So from my understanding, an "E" year T5.1, with a 17 pin light switch, could in theory have a 7E0937090 BCM MAX fitted and then the wiring changed to match the OEM diagrams exactly and have full functionality? Without the need for relays or joins between the old T17 plug and new T10 plug?

I ask as that is what I would like to do. Replace my BCM with the one mentioned above (specifically that one so I can code in my keys), add in the additional 2.5mm inputs to the BCM, add the 1.5mm outputs to the lights, replace the stalks with the momentary type from a T6 (plus the wiring changes to T41/38-41) and add Auto lights. All this with the T10 wired directly to the BCM as per OEM diagrams.

Would this have any unusual issues? I am competent with making the looms and running them correctly but I have a lack of coding information, such as Byte 18.

I imagine the coding would be the trickiest part. I have VCDS, VCP and ODIS-S, all genuine.

Kind regards

You can do it without any type of problem, you will not have any type of failure detected in the Autoscan or malfunction if you do the electrical installation correctly.

Follow Limalex's thread. Link in a previous post.
BCM coding is no problem, I'll code it for you.
Post a full VCDS Autoscan here after finishing the electrical installation, I will receive a notification in my email.
(no problem if the Autoscan has faults detected in other units)

VCDS is fine for this enhancement.

Everything will work perfectly!!!

Hi Ciclo,

Fantastic, Thank you.

I will get the changes done tomorrow and post the scan.

I already have the 090 BCM fitted (For MFSW and T6 tailgate)

There are many changes, some subtle, some not so subtle! but this will be the biggest change to impact the BCM, I am grateful for your help.

Hello everyone, :D
my name is Cristian and I have a 2014 t5.
In this forum i found a lot of valuable info for the modification i'm doing on my t5 even if i think i've done something wrong.
I went from BCM 7H0 937 087 M to 7E0 937 090 B, I powered it as indicated by Ciclo, which I thank, and I followed the guide by fitting the wiring for the modified bi-xenon and the car lights wiring.
I purchased the lights control 3C8 941 431A and the dimmer 6Q0 941 334.
After having installed everything I see that the dimmer does not work and with the light switch in the positions the ignition is turned on without having the keys inserted. In addition, now I also have an error on the control unit 8
the bi-xenon are still on their way and will arrive soon.
hope you can help me solve my problem
I had installed the photochromic mirror and the rain light sensor in the past.
t5 with standard h7 headlights.
below some photos and scan of t5

They help when we take a look at the autoscan. :)
Hi Ciclo,

This is Craig (ViperSlider)

The site is refusing to allow me to post under my other username and also refusing to allow me to post my autoscan stating it contains contacts and is classing it as spam.

I also can’t contact any admin as I am “forbidden”.

Not sure what to do. If the admin are reading, could they advise?!
