Hi all,

I have a question regarding the RCD330 unit (With CarPlay). I would like to upgrade to this head unit as my 2012 Polo 6R is currently fitted an RCD210 which is fairly basic and also has no way of playing music through an external device like an iPhone.

I would like to upgrade to the RCD330 (With CarPlay), is this possible? And where can I buy one OEM that will work 100% in the UK?

Hello,

I fitted the following into my polo and it is by far the best around for a retrofit, from what research I have done they are genuine VW as the marking on the device and internal markings show all the VW codes but from china.

I have fitted them to my fleet of transporters (12 in total) and in the golf and polos I have for my on the road sales guys, all working a charm and absolutely fantastic, should have a picture somewhere of one fitted to a polo

Just out of curiosity, did you retrofit that Multi-Functional steering wheel as well? Mine came with the basic steering wheel and have been looking to upgrade.

No luckily the Multi-Functional steering wheel was fitted already, they are just plug and play the only thing you need is a fakra adaptor

It’s for the aerial, the radio only has one connector the one fitted to your car at present has two, Amazon is a good place

Ok I understand. Is the instillation relatively easy? And also, is the link you sent me the one you bought? It says only 2 have been sold.

It is yeah, pop off the dash trim and unbolt, connect the connectors and bolt back in, and yes it should be as I took it out my purchased box on Ebay, it may have been relisted Afew times as I did buy them last year, I’ve just checked and eodaworld is the seller, the one to get says on the right phone, app, setup

Also - is it true that the station names do not come up and that you can only see the frequency when using FM?
