Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a way of installing Android Auto on the basic media system that comes as standard in a Polo GTI 2016 model as VW offered me £245 to download the software onto it. They confirmed to me that no extra parts were needed, purely software.

Thanks for you help in advance :)

Think that's about right on the price perhaps ring round see if you can get it cheaper at another local dealer. (About 200 used to be the going rate)

As long as you have the menu option then you should be fine.

SWaP (software as a product) is a service that only VW will (legally) offer to you. You buy a code, they enter it into the satnav unit and you have it.

Thanks for the replies guys, very useful. I was shocked that it was 245 for it to be installed as that seems to be a lot of money for just a piece of software.

For the menu button, you mean the button bottom right of the screen?
