key fob broken

Hi people i have a 2008 polo with the key that has one button and a LED since ive had the car its just not worked i changed the battery nothing. was wondering if any one could suggest a fix or replacement etc will attach a picture if it helps

From what I can see, that is a key with a light built into it, ie it is not a remote locking/unlocking functional key, do you know that?

As rum says that is just a light in the key. Your car may not have remote central locking. That’s only present on match spec and higher
