Lowering by how much?

Hi all,

I have just taken delivery of my new Polo to replace my much missed Golf. Times are harder than they were.

Anyways, I want to get some H&R springs (chose them after reading a few posts here and there) to reduce the height somewhat. At the moment the height at the rear is so high my car looks like a hot rod. I just want to lower it a bit so its even at the back and front but not so low that you cant see the top of the tyres. Not a racer or anything, just want a tighter ride and it to look a bit nicer.

Mine is the Red one

I want the level of the White one.

So would I need 35/55s for these or 20/30s?

When measureing it myself the gap is about 4 inches at the back..

New to this so excuse my ignorance.

Cheers all
Jimi

Why would you pick those? Most of the posts I have seen around say to go for h&r as they give the most comfortable ride when lowered?

Thanks
Jimi

I've got eibach springs on my gti and the ride quality is better than standard springs.

Every one I read about the low h&r springs is moaning about the shocking ride with them

Then the Eibach it is! thank you :)

Could you advise what ones I will need? I just want the arches following the contour of the wheel with about a 1cm gap.
