Hello

First i want to introduce myself.
I am a 34 year old guy and i have my first polo 6r since a few weeks.
The car is awesome, first i had to get used to the car, from a audi to a polo is a step haha.

There are a few thing i wanted to do, in the netherlands we have a cable guy who is also here active he is called iichels.
So i meet him for placing other cables i want oem xenon with afs but thats for over a few months i think.

On the dutch mypolo forum i read something about backup and change the eeprom fot needle swipe, so that is the project for now.
I have a digiprog 3 but i never had worked with it.
In the past i have knowledge to modify platystation 3 and xbox chips so there is a little knowledge how it works but there are still a few questions.

does someone know if i can use a cable click on to the eeprom ore will i have to solder.
Is there someone with knowledge about the digiprog 3, in the first menu there i can read the eeprom but where do i must solder the cables.(cable 47 with the losseless wires to solder), but there is also a servicemode in the vw polo 6r section on the device 24c32/servicemode.
I think that is the eeprom chip but i dont know sure.
Or is there a solution that i can read and change it with the obd cable.
and where is the location of the eeprom on the print.

Thanks for your time and i hope i have a lot of fun with my polo.

you can use an eeprom clip to read the eeprom from the instrument cluster. i'll show you on friday.
remember, you'll have the johnson instruments clusters, they often have 95320 EEPROM. most things I know are about 24c64 EEPROMs.
24c32 eeprom is not present in the Polo 6R.

Thanks.

I am planning to buy an polo 6r instrument cluster print for 40 euro so i can experiment.
Does someone know how to power it up on a bench with an 12 volt supply.

hello

Now i have it work on my test instrument cluster with a nex and a 24c64 i make from 0066 bit 5 a 1 and it works well.
So i have enough confidence to test it on my own clock in my car.

When i change it it wont work and the total km amount is blinking.
what dit i do wrong? the one i have has no nec chip.

edit. the problem is gone and it works.
i have a fault valeu in it.
