Whenever I go on a long drive, after about half hour or so, my tire pressure light and the one which indicates a slippery surface, both come on. My tire pressure is fine. Ant idea what's causing this? I can reset them once I've stopped.

Hard to say with such vague symptoms. Could be a problem with the ABS system somewhere. It's difficult to be more specific, sorry

Thinking about how the tyre monitor and the ABS are in bed together that sounds like a very likely explanation.

Scan time.

Scanning that car with a VAG compliant diagnostic tool might reveal some relevant logged faults, ie a duff wheel sensor.

Thanks for the replies guys. Those things that don't happen all the time are always hard to fix.

I would hope that a fault has been logged though it might get cleared automatically so it is best to check for logged faults ASAP if you want to find out what the car’s diagnostics system logged.
