Setting/Resetting Service & Inspection Reminder individually

Hi everyone.
I would like to ask here(after searching inside forum without luck) if there’s already a post that discuss this, appreciate you can point me there so the moderator can delete this post.
Is there any HowTo/Manual to set the reminder individually for service and inspection with vcds?
I tried to set the inspection independently from my service reminder based on my own service/inspection record. I’ve tried but it seems like it’s either resetting both or the other. Or am I doing it wrongly somewhere from the drop down menu inside vcds

Yes, have a look at the adaptation channels in your instrument cluster.
There are seperate channels for ESI (extended service interval) and inspection I believe. You'll figure it out, I'm sure!

Thanks iichel. So I would be looking at 4 different channels :
1. ESI Mileage from Service
2. ESI Time from Service
3. Mileage from Inspection
4. Time from Inspection
Am I right? I will definitely go through the channels again soon.

I'm currently not near the car on an autoscan so I can't give you exact names, but yes, those are the ones you're after.

Ah yes, the way that we used to have to do the general service reminder using VAG-COM before VAG-COM >VCDS started having its own dedicated "reset service indicator" function. Remember when in there you will also find the maximum settings as well which you can alter is you want to - well you used to be able to alter them if it suited you.

Ok. Everything sort out. Here’s how:
VCDS 17-Instrument Adaptation-Channel Dropdown
1. ESI: Resetting ESI —-> will reset the Oil Change Reminder
2. FIX: Max distance until next mileage-related Inspection —-> 30,000km
3. FIX: Max time until next time-dependent Inspection ——> 730d
4. FIX: Distance covered since last mileage-dependent Inspection —> Set to actual distance covered.
5. FIX: Time since last time-dependent Inspection ——> Set to actual time covered.
Ever since I installed this instrument cluster I haven’t set the reminder to my actual maintenance routine. So today I’ve done the normal oil change every 15,000km and reset the reminder. (although my car is spec-ed for ESI with the PR code reference, not sure why it is still remind me at 15k km interval)

Do you have these two entries in your instrument cluster adaptation channels?
(1)-ESI: Coding of Service Interval Extension (SIE)-Status ESI or SID ESI or SID on
(2)-ESI: Coding of Service Interval Extension (SIE)-Selection of ESI or SID Extended Service Intervals (ESI)

Yes I have. I believe it’s set to ESI
