Has anyone got any pics of fitting 17" wheels for a standard 6r?

just google for 'boavista', 'mallory' or 'mirabeau' and you'll see how it looks. these are the standard optional wheels for a 6R/6C, in 17" (mallory was also sold in 16 by the way)

Any recommendations on springs? GTi springs or something like Eibach 30mm?

gti springs are made for the heavier GTI, don't take those.
i'm not sure how much lower you want, personally i'd take about 30mm rear and 25mm front drop, that'll do for me. but i guess it's a matter of taste.
