Ciclo,
ciclo wrote: Thu Jan 10, 2019 5:46 pm I have added two Butt terminals in the steering column ring wiring to prevent you from having to remove the fuse box in case of other retrofits in the future. The fuses will remain the same (like in the pic).

I'm planning to take +15 and +30 signals from these butt terminals for,
1. Glove box light (+30)
2. Indirect TPMS and ESP off button (+15)

I know you already mentioned, fuses remains same, still wanted to confirm once.
Thanks in advance.

Yes.

Advise:
For the glove box light take the positive from the wire that feeds the footwell light, but the negative must be from a common ground point (chassis).
This will prevent the battery from draining in case of breakage or failure of the glove compartment switch.

iichel,

Please find the coding from similar car - Vento, manual diesel transmission. As I said before, this is a retrofit and not from the factory.

Can you help with this.

Code: Select all

Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels:. 6R0-907-37x-ESP90.clb
   Part No SW: 6R0 907 379 BN HW: 6R0 907 379 AS
   Component: ESP9.0i front H03 0001
   Serial number: --------------
   Coding: 62DD2C63212507C4461434708459E0820909
   Shop #: WSC 00788 648 00255
   ASAM Dataset: EV_Brake1ESP90iBOSCH 003031
   ROD: EV_Brake1ESP90iBOSCH_003_VW21.rod
   VCID: 0B15112DA2455712B0-805E

No fault code found.

Yes, this is excellent. Let's try the first coding, as soon as you have the ESP block in your car. I'm sure we'll figure out a good coding, maybe not in the first try but surely in the last.

iichel,

I will be installing the ESP block over this weekend or sooner, can you give me a first coding so I can get the installation and coding completion to drive it and we will try more as needed.

iichel wrote: Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:16 pm It is not very easy to calculate an ESP9.0i coding, but I'll give it a try. I don't have any scans of cars that received this from factory.
My best guess for your ESP 9.0i module:

62DD2C63212A07C54615346A8459E082090D

With
HHC
ASR disabling by button
TPMS indirect
XDS

If you know anyone with the same configuration and ESP9.0i (VW Vento/Polo Sedan, RHD, diesel engine, manual), please post the coding here.
This will make the accuracy of the coding better.
Yes, it's this one.

Ciclo, iichel, Nikhil, Patil, Sheethal

Thank you for all your great help. I'm done with ESP installation.

Coding - I have used the one Nikhil had given me (62DD2C63412A07C54615346A8259E0820909)
@iichel - the one you had given returned Error 31.

HHC - works fine
XDS - didn't know how to check (adapted to "Strong")
HBA - adapted to "Early"
TPMS - indirect TPMS added

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Regards,
Sakthi

Ciclo,

I'm planning the below as a next upgrade,
1. Composition or Discovery media
2. Sharkfin antenna
3. OEM sub woofer with amp (that should fit in inside the spare wheel)

Please help letting me know the required parts and how/where it can be sourced.
as always, appreciate your help in advance.
