Vento ~ Polo Sedan 1.5 Tdi RHD

Post by sshakthi123 »

Dear Friends,

I'm opening a new topic seeking a help from you guys to upgrade the BCM and other features associated.

I'm from India owning Vento (Polo sedan) 2017 model comes with a BCM 6R0 937 085 R and I would like to update the BCM and few other options. Can you help me sourcing the BCM and other parts. As said by multiple users from India, it is impossible to get the parts here. So expecting your help to source the required parts.

1. BCM Max
2. No headlight upgrade as of now. I will alive with H7 headlights for some more time
3. Auto light switch (my car has Rain sensor with dimming mirror already)
4. CH, LH
5. Dimming of interior lights along with manual headlight adjuster present
6. Stalk - single side parking
7. DRL sourcing beside fog lights as said here viewtopic.php?f=56&t=69687&start=30#p524168

Thanks in advance,
Sakthi

Hi Ciclo

Can you confirm the required part numbers of BCM, auto light switch, dimmer adjuster switch and a fog lamp with a DRL for Polo sedan or vento.

So I will start procuring it.

Thanks much,
Sakthi

Here are the part numbers I found for the BCM max upgrade for my vento (india version). I'm in touch with firegrafik to procure some of these now and keep it ready and wait for your help to prepare wiring looms.

Can you confirm these are good to procure.

Part - 1 (will do it now)
BCM - 7E0937090D - I heard the BCM version "C" will have a different radio frequency which may not support india version keys. So shall choose "D"
Light switch - 3С8941431А
Dimmer switch - 6RU941333 9B9
And a wiring harness required.

Will plan for future upgrades (list below)
fog lights with DRL - 6R0941061B, 6R0941062B
fog light harness - link here
trunk camera - 6RF980121

I really appreciate your help.

Thanks much,
Sakthi

Please review and help on the wiring harness required. (I remember you mentioned you cannot do wiring until Jan, I will wait.)

My requirements are,

1. BCM max adaptation (7E0937090D)
2. Auto light with CH/LH
3. Fog light with DRL
4. No headlight mods for now, but the adaptation to support through new BCM is required
5. Dimmer cum headlight adjuster

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Sakthi

Ok. Thank you very much for providing all the information without me having to request it, you will have to wait until January, as we have talked before.
The installation will be very similar to what we have done previously for other Polo Sedan from India.

Please, tell me if you want me to provide the Dimmer along with the wiring. I have to request it from my VW dealer*.

Thanks for getting back. I had ordered the Dimmer switch already so only the wiring part required.

I may get the required parts delivered sometime in December, so January should work for me. What would be the shipping time (to me/india) once you prepared the wiring.

I always say that 20-30 days (for India). It depends on the traceability of the package, sometimes it took 10 days for package delivery and other times it took 25 days.

I'll try the best for you.

That's fine. Thanks Ciclo.

Few thing to note

1. can you ensure the wiring supports the parking stalk also. I wish the windows closed upon rain (on the move / park). Does this update supports it?

2. I'm also in search for installing front PDC, can you help sourcing the items required for it. My need is, parking sensors with brackets, wiring harness. Rest of the items like PDC switch, 8k module I have it already.

3. I may want to upgrade to bi-xenon in future but not anytime soon. just a note fyi to provision/prepare the wiring.

Thanks in advance.

1.Yes, there is no problem for the parking function in the stalk once you install the new BCM and the adaptation wiring. It will be coded in the new BCM.
Regarding the windows, will only close in case of rain if you have installed the correct WRMs (not the current ones) and the right codings for this function (RLS is perfect in your case). Please, look for help in the forum (e.g. govindsharma's topic).

2. No. I can't help you with this.
(you have many info in my topic and in the net)

3. Thanks, no problem for Bi-xenon in the future if you install the wiring for them and enter the right BCM coding.

1. Ok. For windows I'll check for the respective articles

2. I have all the info needed. All I need is a OEM parts which I'm unable to procure here and I don't want a Chinese parts from ali. It will be great if you can help me in this.

3. So I assume changing the wiring harness 10 to 14 pins and rewiring the fog to a switch and xenon SCL to BCM should work.

Thanks

Ok. upon reading through govindsharma's posts I found my car has static cornering lights works with indicators only. I would need a steering wheel sensor installed to enable to fog work on turning the steering wheel. This may require you visiting a VW dealer (sorry about it  )
2. No. I can't help you with this.

So I assume changing the wiring harness 10 to 14 pins and rewiring the fog to a switch and xenon SCL to BCM should work. Is it possible to wire this 14 pin connector now and use the H7 halogen headlights for now. So in future once I get Bi-xenons it will be just plug and play. Or does it require reassembling few wires in future?

At last my requirements are,

1. BCM max adaptation (7E0937090D)
2. Auto light with CH/LH
3. Fog light with DRL (it will be based on your answer on how we will do on #3 above, whether it will be 10 to 14 pin connector now and in future)
4. No headlight mods for now, but the adaptation to support through new BCM is required
5. Dimmer cum headlight adjuster
6. Steering wheel sensor to enable fog lights on turning the steering wheel
7. Any other coding updates

one note is, I already installed rear PDC connecting can lines from PDC to IC T32 28 and 29. I was referring https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... FpcDA/view so based on this isolating current wiring of 28 & 29 leave the rear OPS not working.

Thanks much,
Sakthi

It could be problematic to install a G85 steering wheel sensor on your Vento, it may need to be adapted with ODIS.

(the govindsharma's topic it's only for you to read about the WRMs)

Yes Ciclo, I read about WRM's.

And I would like to install the steering angle sensor as my current cornering supports via indicator stalk only. Would need your help on procuring the steering sensor.

Thanks,

Yes, I have it in my mind.

I beg you a little of time, the holidays in Spain end on January 7th.
Now I have several projects in progress in my cars (priority over anything), however, soon I dedicate to make your wiring in my spare time.
