Hi there

I have had to take my 2017 1.2 TSI Beats Polo manual into the dealer as 3rd gear was crunching in and out and clutch was slipping; they stated there was a known fault with the gear box regarding 3rd gear and have remedied it under warranty. HOWEVER the clutch is also shot after only 1 year and 15,000 miles and they state it wont be covered by warranty. Has anyone else suffered a worn clutch after such a short period?

Any similar experiences or advice greatly appreciated

I'm sure that I've read on the Skoda Fabia motoring forum of some people having issues with clutch wear and clutch friction material "coming apart" and maybe even causing issues when this stuff got in the way of the starter motor! It will be the same material as all these engines come from a single source.
