No heating and a cut hose - 1999 6N1 1.4L

Hello,
I have no (or almost no) heat.
Car runs on 90 degrees spot on, fan is working on all speeds, cooling fluid hoses are connected and hot
There is an hose which looks like a vacuum hose and the only place I can see it being connected in the past is a bit above in the middle where the 2 cooling liquid pipes go into the firewall.
Is there such an hose?
Can it be something other then bad heater core, which will require dash removal?
