Dashboard buttons/switches

Hi everyone,
I've been looking on the forum since picking up my Polo BlueGT and see lots of interesting discussion so decided to make an account!

I'm looking to retrofit the sport button and passenger airbag warning light to the switch panel above the Radio, just for completeness, because they are the only blanks. I have read about people using the switches on this panel for garage door openers etc. but I am purely looking for an aesthetic benefit. Would anyone know if the connectors for the switches are already behind the panel? If they aren't, how would I wire them? I'd like the sport button to 'operate' and light up orange when pressed even if it doesn't actually do anything.

Hi,

All I can tell you is that there is no wiring at all for any options that did not come from the factory. I wanted to retrofit the ASR Off button, pulled the dash apart and there were no extra wires for anything there. If you only want the lights to come on then it would be easy to piggyback off one of the other switches.

I am not sure if you have space for 7 switches or 9 switches.
So here are images of both for your reference.

You can put them by removing dashboard parts shown here :

If you wish to illuminate them like window and switches then there are additional parts and wiring that is required.
