Putting a 1.9tdi 6 speed gearbox on my 1.8t polo GTI

Good Afternoon guys
I have broken my gearbox on my 2008 Polo 1.8t 9n3 Gti
3 Times in the past weeks
And just always had it repaired
But i have a 1.9tdi 6 speed gearbox at home and i was wondering if i can just fit that gearbox on
If so, What modifications would have to be done and what are the pros and cons
