Wheel alignment

Hi guys,
Quick one. I have recently had my front wheels aligned as I was feeling that the car was puling slightly to the left. After they've done their business the car is not pulling left anymore, however the steering wheel feels heavier then before. It used to be on the light side, however it feels stiffer now..
I am driving a Blue GT 13 reg. Do you guys reckon this is how is should be and it was off before?
