I bought a car for my daughter this week took it for a test drive and all was well, paid for it,10 min down the road when breaking with the engine then accelerating
A load of blue smoke came out my exhaust
Pulled over and phoned the bloke he won't pick up or answer my text
Worst than that I met him in a car park!!!
Could it be as easy as breather pipes or valve stem oil seals if so how hard are they to do and dose the head have to come off
Your advice would be much appreciated

Sorry forgot to say it's a 55 plate 1.2 bme engine

Hum, I know nothing about these engines, but I have read that they can end up suffering from badly worn valve guides - and there are no inserts just holes bored into the head, so I don't think that it will be as easy as changing the stem seals, sorry!

Not an engine I would have picked at this age, maybe okay when new - but then its all down hill.

Edit:- it would make sense to check the crankcase ventilation though!
