Trailer disconnect/theft alarm

I have a 1L polo 6c bluemotion and it also has a vw fitted trailer light towing module wired to a 13 pin socket. Therefore the car is now capable of knowing wether or not the trailer lights are working and connected or not.
I briefly looked at the the BCM in central electronics09 and noticed that there were options for interior and anti-tow alarms etc but didnt have time to investigate properly. This suggests that my car has sufficient wiring present for the bcm to sound the horn. After all If it can sound the horn and flash the indicators when you lock it or when other things happen then surely there must also be options for it to make a fuss if some one disconnects the trailer wiring when the car is locked?
I just want to know how or if it is possible to make the car detect some one nicking/unplugging my trailer when the car is parked and locked up because locks and chains arent always possible to use. Besides im not a big believer in keys and locks, its better to just catch them red handed.
Eg when parked up at motorway service station to alert me when pikeys start uncoupling it rather than turn up later after Ive discovered the locks wernt as good as I thought they were.!
Edit I believe that some polos can have an alarm system activated through the bcm with vcds, I also believe that it would be possible to deactivate any sensors that one is not interested in using to do the same thing? Is this true and if so will I need any extra wiring modifications etc and will it work off a door key or just the remote? Can it be done using the existing horn or do I need to add a siren somewhere? Have I made any daft assumptions by thinking its possible?
