Hello, Just looked inside my fuel filler cap and it's saying

front rear (psi)
35 32
39 36
39 41

I take it 35 front /32 rear is for normal driving with 1/2 people?
39/41 seems to be saying fully loaded pressures
What is the 39/36 is this for maximum fuel economy or something?

All the pressures seem a little high, my focus was 33/33 IIRC and I'm sure that was heavier and had smaller tyres.

I think that I end up using 35/32 - or so, but yes your interpretation of the different pressures is correct.

Edit:- though it seems that I have also used 36/34 and even 38/36 all in summertime as I use other wheels/tyres in winter!

I have a 2011 1.2 TSi with 215/45/R16 and the recommended pressures are a little lower than that.

32 - 29 (Two passengers, light load)
35 - 38 (Fully loaded)

On the odd occasion when I've run 35 - 38, it feels way light on the steering. Maybe the higher tyre pressures are chasing better fuel economy??

Yeah i was a little surprised at the pressures when i read them on the fuel cap, will try the recommended and maybe tweak from there.
