Emission control light

Hi, I got polo 2011 reg SL11CUX yesterday I washed my car then on way to home I parked my car perfectly but after 4 hours start driving feel like car don’t have power I tried to more gas but remain same emission light on after 2 miles engine light on as well plz advise what I need to do
