Just bought an Polo 6C, is it possible to have LEDs working correctly in a non projector headlight.

Probably not, as the halogen reflector headlamp units aren’t designed to take LED bulbs.
By fitting LED bulbs in a reflector headlamp, you’ll get a poor beam pattern and lots of light scatter, so they’ll not improve your night driving visibility - more likely make it worse - and you’ll probably get flashed by annoyed oncoming motorists as there’s a high chance the light scatter from your headlamps will dazzle them.
Better to upgrade the factory halogen bulbs with some better halogen bulbs, such as Osram Night Breaker or Philips X-treme Vision.
