hi guys, can someone check the temperature of this sensor on their 6r? I think it's fault :|

Hum, that does not sound right, though surely you would get a HVAC module fault code if was not okay? I thought, but have not checked, that while the AC was being run, the evaporator temperature would be a lot lower than that - maybe slightly above 5C (a guess!).

Edit:- I think that there is usually a small fan drawing in cabin air at that AC panel control point and that is used as part of the temperature control data.

the car was off and it was under the sun so impossible even 5 c, I have the famous generic error but everything works, from what I understand is a sensor inside the air conditioning dash

What exactly is the fault code that is logged? There will be a small grill for cabin air to get pulled in over the sensor, on the front of the control panel, I'd think, unless you can identify the exact type of temperature sensor, then replacing it will not be possible unless you buy a maybe used control panel from any same aged VW Group car and harvesting the temperature sensor from it and fitting it to your control panel. It does look like the sensor is just a typical resistive thermometer, but there are many many different types, ie range and material and so need their own "look up table" in the controller, low temperature is normally low resistance so maybe it is shorted out on the circuit board - just a guess. If it was a negative co-efficient then low temperature would mean higher resistance or open circuit and the displayed temperature value is just the range minimum within the controller.
