Carista query

Hi guys.
I am planning to purchase a carista device. The main thing why i am buying it is to disable the reverse camera option on my RCD330 (i do not have a camera installed and when in reverse is prompting the camera error rather than the OPS). Any of you guys know if this is possible with carista or anyone tried? If not possible i could look into buying the OBDeleven as i heard it does long coding..
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there i hooked up the carista obd and i dont see any option for rvc ( Polo 6C 2017 )... yes obdeleven pro has long coding Which allows to to set camera options and park sensors.
here is what options the carista app displays:

Thanks for posting all the options massimo. i have a 13 reg BlueGT (6R) i might have fewer options then you.
If that is the case.. i don't believe i can disable the reverse camera with Carista. I might have to spend the extra bucks and get the OBDeleven instead..
Unless anyone knows any other option..

I would not expect Carista to cover that sort of recoding, I'm guessing that you bought a used RCD330 and now need to recode it.
Being a VCDS owner and user I can't comment on OBD Eleven, but VCDS can do module recoding easily.
If you have a good VW Group Indie locally, why not get them to recode it, or at least phone/visit them and ask if they are willing to do this and at what price?

Thanks for that RUM4MO.
I will try to see if there is any garage near me that is capable of doing that sort of coding.
However i might spend the extra bucks and get the OBD as i am pretty sure it can do long coding, that way i can do other tweaks to the car as well, rather than paying 20-30£ a dealer to only disable the reverse camera..

You could, I suppose fit a reversing camera.

I have thought about that as well. however i don't think is that easy.. i am not the best at pulling the car apart to run the wires all the way to the front of the car... :-s

Was a joke, not a very good one granted.
Hope you can sort it without too much hassle.
