Hi everyone

I recently bought a 2015 polo gti so thought id join the forum

I'm loving the car so far and managed to find one with almost everything on i wanted except power fold mirrors. I am planning to retrofit these myself but just wanted to ask a question which i have searched for but couldn't find an answer for and was hoping someone here could help

The question is do i need to replace the window regulator motors for power fold mirror compatible ones or will the ones already on the car be okay?

Thanks in advance :D

Welcome, I hope you find in this forum everything you are looking for your GTI.

Something to take into account:
2009 ---> 2014 = POLO 6R
2015 ---> 2018 = POLO 6C
They look the same but electrically they are different.

Any image of your GTI? VCDS Autoscan?
It would help many users of this forum to answer your question about folding mirrors / WRM.

Thanks for the welcome and reply!

Do you mean just a photo of the exterior of the car or something specific?

I don't know how to do a vcds autoscan. I'll look into how to do one.

6R0959802DMZ00 - front right regulator (4 door) (RHD)
6R0959801DKZ00 - front left regulator (4 door) (RHD)

i think the rest i.e screws you could just take from your current mirrors. same with the glass etc

I have already bought and fitted the mirrors and door switch so just needed to know if the window regulator motors were compatible or not.

Thanks for taking the time to list the parts needed though, much appreciated.
