You are lucky, the build sheet with the PR codes seems to be vanishing, or going into hiding it seems, well it seems that it has moved to under a piece of boot trim in Golfs and maybe same for Leons as I can't see it in my daughter's new Leon Cupra - plus no service records etc in paper form for the second copy to get stuck to.

What I tend to do is, shuffle along to your local VW dealership parts department and request a print out of CAR DATA for that exact car - they might claim to know nothing about this sort of thing, but they should, I got it for all my VW Group cars in the past, and have it for my 2011 S4, my wife's 2015 Polo and my daughter's new 2019 Leon - so that means that Audi + VW + SEAT dealerships still understand that request. There should be a lot more PR codes on that document to assist in getting the correct parts later in a car's life.

I could be wrong, but I think that the 1.0 engine was introduced at the change over to 6C from 6R, you probably know that you can't go but the "6R" included in the VIN plate as all the 6C cars also have that, the actual date code etc will determine if it is a 6R or an early 6C as will some visual things, like the MFD size and buttons.

Someone else might add more into this to help you, I used my 6R Haynes repair manual to come to the conclusion about engine introduction as only the old 1.2 is quoted or supported in that repair manual.

Have you ever considered reg'ng for Erwin as by doing that you can down load the workshop manual that VW dealerships and others that subscribe to Erwin use which will get updated as and when needed, or just buy a copy from easymanuals which is what I did, though that version will never get updated, though with a 2014 car it should be quite stable now.
