UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

Good evening fellow VW enthusiasts! I’ve just bought a polo for the daily commute. It doesn’t like going into 3rd gear from 4th.. No other gear selection issues only on the way down from 4th to 3rd.
Is it just a case of adjusting the cables?
I’ve been under the car today and the gearbox mount looks ok.

This could be a case of a badly adjusted linkage but could also by a synchromesh problem in the gearbox which isn’t uncommon
