Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience of retrofitting OEM LED Tail Lights to a 2019 Volkswagen Polo? The part number is 2G2052200.

Would the installation be similar to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20GR39ZE2IA?

The installation instructions (attached at https://easyupload.io/n04iwl) suggest that a coding change is required - is this truly needed, and if yes can this be done with Carista/ODBEleven?

This is the route I went for in the end, not because of the complexity of fitting, rather I wanted the two years parts warranty. They look great!

Great to hear that, completely tansform the back end in my opinion.

It’s a great stepping stone for me as I work my way up to a manual Polo R-line one day. I wish the GTI had a manual option

Are these darker than the GTI tail lights or is it just the picture?

Just the picture. The led tail lights are darkened (like the gti) but the picture makes them look darker than they a are

I believe that the lights come standard on the R-Line & GTI variants, I had them retrofitted to my Polo Beats just as a treat to myself. I will try to take a photo over the weekend, in the meantime here is a picture of a Polo R-Line with the taillights fitted in the showroom whilst I was waiting.
