Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a stubby aerial (65mm) to fit a 2019 Polo equipped with DAB radio?

Thanks!

I’d be interested to hear how this goes!

Did you go for this in the end? Does the shark fin need to be sprayed?

Some people on another forum, either Skoda or SEAT, was complaining about swopping the standard length wire wrapped aerial for a stubby one and ended up with extremely poor radio reception, I can't see this being any different aerial wise and result wise to this, but my problem is, in the past at least, many people seemed to like to make this change for cosmetic reasons, so did any of them need to live with crap radio reception, or were all of them people who never used a radio while in their car.

I'd think that the shark tooth swop would give better results especially when used with DAB, and I'd think all the genuine sharks tooth versions will come primed ready for painting, either a DIY paint job for £14.50 if buying VW twin spray pack or a £50 job at a paint shop, or, it seems £80 from your local VW dealership paintshop.
