LONG SHOT!!

Evening guys, this isn’t half a long shot so if I don’t get much response I don’t blame you

anyway I’ve had a bit of an argument with a rather large Bird on my way home from Glasgow one evening and sadly, the lower front grille on my 2014 polo R line has been a bit broken. I cannot for the life of me find a replacement part on any website I’ve checked and I can’t find even a photograph of the correct part other than with full R line kits but I don’t need the kit, just the lower front grille

so the real question is, can anyone point me in the right direction or know anyone who happens to be selling one? I would be extremely grateful if one of you fine people could put an end to my misery as the front end of the car is a bit of an eye sore. Cheers in advance.

It is very easy to solve, please tell us the tenth digit of the VIN of your 6R or 6C.
2014 was the year of facelift, that's why the question.
Or also, is the lower grille black glossy or matt?
Or show us a picture of the disaster.

RUM4MO, I appreciate that sense of humour don’t apologise boss

but back to the issue it’s the model 6R and the tenth didgit
Of the VIN is the letter E. it’s the matt greyish black colour as the photos will show but honestly lads thank you so much for the response, there’s a fleet of Polo 6R R-lines where I’m from and as you can imagine it’s killing me having the only one with the small issue of a broken front grille

anyway photos are included.

I can't find one either James.
You might have to go for a change in design, I'm not 100% sure, but I think this one will fit your car, ciclo will know

See that’s what I had been thinking as well but I’m unsure of how it will look as I’ve never seen an R-Line with a honeycomb grill, if that’s what I need to order then so be it I suppose but we shall see

@James220; also possibly a bit of a long shot, but do you have any car breakers in your area? If so, it might be worth contacting them to see if they have any Polo R-Line models with rear end damage / front end undamaged that could sell you the front lower grille from.

For information, three images in this
LINK.
I think it is best to search locally as recommended by other users, or buy directly from the nearest VW dealer.
Some of us change to the
6C lower front grille, gloss black (compatible, 1/1), maybe there is someone who has it stored in the garage with some of dust.

Of course!
You just have to know which bird model you like...

There are several websites where you can search for the original parts.
For example, this is the one I like:

OP, if you end up having trouble using the "ifinterface ---" parts site, as I now do when using MS devices, then try using IOS devices as it works okay on them.

Afternoon ciclo, I’d like to apologise for digging up old posts as I can imagine it gets annoying seeing solved topics coming up but I’ve been arguing with myself as to whether to as you this or not for quite some time

anyway, I wondered if you have any information on the part numbers for the engine under-tray and the lower front splitter assembly? I can imagine people asking stupid questions is annoying but I just cannot seem to find a definitive answer. I’ve tried to look on the EKTA? But have unfortunately come up empty due to not knowing how the assembly actually pieces together. I do apologise again but I was driving myself round the bend looking at the front end of my car with bits missing

cheers in advance!
