Tailgate and Rear wiper issue.

Hi all,
I have a VW Polo 1.4 TDI 2009. Soon after I bought it this summer I noticed that the tailgate would occasionally not open. When I tried to open it the electrical opening mechanism would be totally nonresponsive, and I could not here any actuators working at all. This suggests to me that the error is electrical rather than mechanical. However, at other times the tailgate would open with no problems at all. I couldn't really find a pattern of when it would respond and when not. As half a year has gone this issue has started to occur more frequently and now it is more often than not that I can't get it open. I soon discovered that the sunroof window is having similar issues.
Now lately my rear windshield wiper has also stopped working. It did however stop working without this period of time where it would sometimes work and sometimes not. It seems likely to me that all of these are electrical issues, and that they are somehow connected, but of course I might be wrong about that.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Joacim
