Hi there.i am after some advice...I am about to change my fuel filter on my 6r Polo Gti 1.4 twincharge with a Revo stage1..which is the best fuel filter to buy..was going to get one from VW, then I heard MANN filters are OEM and half the price...should I just stick to buying my filters from VW....

I think/thought that all VW Group petrol filters were supplied by UDS(?) and are made in China, so fitted a Mann equivalent can only be a better way of doing things in my way of thinking!

I'd think that ECP might be cheapest for that Mann filter.

Edit:- I'm guessing that you are just doing what you feel is right, but if you went into a VW dealership, they would probably need to order in a new filter for you as these are not a "service" part nowadays, just a "replace if faulty" - maybe strange, but true, my 2011 Audi S4 does not have a fuel filter outside the tank, which is not something I'm proud to boast about!

Thank you for your help RUM4MO...I went with the MANN filter..you were right about VW not having fuel filter in stock...they wanted me to go there and pay and then go back once it’s in stock.so I went Eurocarparts instead....
Just need oil..don’t know which one.. castrol edge 5w30 or 0w40 or Mobil 1 5w30 or millers Nanodrive CFS 5w40..Awsome Gti said I should use Millers Nanodrive 5w40 because my car has a stage 1.

I'd be going with Awesome's advice, it might be overkill, but better that than saving a small bit of cash and having engine wear issues, all my cars are standard build and I use only Mobil One ESP 5W-30 nowadays - just a personal thing, maybe.

Thank you for the advice..I’m going to put Millers Nanodrive CFS NT+ 5W40..My friend has started to use it and he said oil consumption has gone down and the car runs smoother..
