Has anyone removed their Mk4 door mouldings and changed for Mk5?
Can you tell me what adhesive you used to secure them in place?
Any problems with size or shape?
Cheers.

As far as I'm aware no-one has done it (but you can garantee there will be at least one person in europe that has

).
The main problem is the mk4s strip is bonded on and quite easily removed, but the mk5 is fixed to the car (by rivets).
The best thing to do is find someone how has smoothed the sides of their mk5 and ask them what the underside of the strips are like. If there smooth they should bond onto yours ok.

AFAIK there are rivets and sticky backing as well. So if you take the plastic rivets off using a sharp knife, you can simply stick the strips on.
It has been done (couple of times), and it looks good. Very smooth, yet still functional.

Ive done it, originals are stuck on by double sided sticky tape stuff. Comes off easily enough.
They will fit straight on as the mk5 is a mk4 with a face lift.

The usual suspects have come up trumps again, thanks chaps!
When asking the question, i was sure it had been done by an owner of a dragon green, and low and behold....
My originals are beginning to peal so i'll definately replace them with Mk5 strips now i have the all clear.
Will post pics soon.
Adjustable Suspension, 15" Brock B2s, Red rear lights and FK debadged front grille on its way....
