Hi all,
Another day another issue with my 6c.
Noticed a small damp patch on my driveway this evening traced it directly below the front right of the engine bay. Cannot see anything from the inside. Coolant is below the line and was relatively full when I bought it 3 months ago. Need to get this checked out as my warranty runs out in a week so giving my local garage a call in the morning. Any ideas what it could be? Thermostat housing, water pump? How much are these repairs normally?
Driveway is on a downwards slope so the fluid could have dripped forward...but here’s an image.

this does seem to be the one common fault on these.

believe it's the thermostat housing but i believe it's combined with a water pump so needs a complete unit

Unfortunately I am unable to get it to VAG specialist so having to take it to a rated local garage.
I want to make sure the right parts are put in it.
Is there a revised version of the pump that’s less prone to failing? Does anyone know the Part No?

not sure on who make the oem one but i've found this

it's used on loads of 1.8 and 2.0 tsi ea888 gen 3 engines

Probably £500-600 to replace.

Just picked it up.
Come to £300 at my local garage (warranty paid) for new radiator and coolant for anyone wondering.
