6R rear badge/camera

Does anyone know if the Mk7 Golf rear badge/rear camera happens to fit the 6R as I think they are both 110mm. I think the Mk6 Golf one fits with an adapter plate and being as its the same size, I wondered if the Mk7 Golf could fit?

Yes it can. i installed once. for polo, will always need the adaptor. the design is abit diff on the logo surface but actually not that bad.

Did you use the Mk6 Golf adapter plate? If so, did you need to modify that at all?

no. i used the china adaptor for polo. if not mistaken, one or two locking latch/hook need to be cut.

In my 6R, i uses the original bracket (one of the pioneer design) by ciclo. I think its the same as what carsystem offers.
the china is at first a bit confusing, but after several tried for my friend’s polo, it works. the china version is not really an “adaptor”. its just simple integrator means it just lock the camera and the mounting circle frame by clamping both. not like the one ciclo’s design.

The RVC adapter can be used for the Golf MK7's RVC when installed in the 6R, but be careful, you have to take into account that the ORIGINAL camera for Golf MK7 does not use the same video signal as the ORIGINAL camera for Golf MK6, and the Golf7 MK7's RVC is not compatible with the original radio/navigation systems that are factory installed in the 6R (RCD/RNS).
On the 6R you can install:
-RVC Golf MK7 for Composition/Discover media from 6C, T6, etc ... (many things to do here... something complex
)
-RVC Golf MK6 for RCD/RNS with
black 26-pin video connector. ... (plug and play ...
)
-...and also the exciting world of non-original parts.

Part of the reason for mentioning the Mk7 Golf RVC, is that I rather like one of the rear badges which I think would go very well with my car. Not sure if the Mk7 badge would fit to the Mk6 RVC

Ok Tim, I think the badges (Golf MK7 vs MK6) are not interchangeable. I'm not sure.

Maybe on AliExpress there is something interesting for the MK6 RVC ... I mean the shiny black background.

It's actually the shiny black background and the blue edging that I like on this one particular model, as it would go great with my car. I've ordering just the badge for now so I can see-if it won't work, then I'll just sell it on
