Hi all,

I stumbled across this forum while looking for a replacement gearbox for my Polo and hoped someone could help me.
I have a 1.6 1996 6N1 Polo and need a new gearbox. I've looked around the internet and breakers yards but have only been able to find 1.4 gearboxes. Does anyone know whether or not a 1.4 would fit in my 1.6? I am a bit stuck as I don't know lots about cars and the garage I've been using aren't local (long story). Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you know the code for the gearbox? I think I may have a DCC box somewhere.

Oh wow, that would be amazing if it works. I'll ask my mechanic to check the code. I think becuase I'm new to this forum I can't send a direct message but if it does work out what's the best way to contact you?

Mine is a CZG box. They are listed in the same category on some websites so looks like they may be compatible?
