ESP light

Good morning all,
New to the forum, I joined for a little advice.
My daughter has a 2011 Polo 1200 MODA with 61k on the clock, last night when driving home the ESP warning light came on and she struggled to drive above 30mph (not a bad thing in my books

).
I took it out this morning with no warnings and took it up the dual carriageway with no problems, came off dual carriageway to drive back into town braking harder and more often than necessary and the ESP warning came on.
Any ideas/thoughts, I don't have a code reader.
Thanks in advance.

Could be anything from a faulty ABS sensor, broken wire to a broken ESP block. It's really hard to say without any error codes.

Thanks, that's what I thought.
Anyone around Aberdeenshire south on the forum with a code reader that would be willing to plug it in

What code readers do you recommend?

Hello,
Finally got my code reader delivered, plugged it in and got the following codes:
P006800 - MAP/MAF throttle position correlation
P034100 - Camshaft pos.sensor circ, range/performance
P030300 - cal.3 misfire detected
P130A00 - Hide cylinder
P001600 - Crankshaft position, camshaft position, Correlation bank 1 sensor A
I cleared the codes and rescanned after starting the car getting the following code:
P034100 - Camshaft pos.sensor circ, range/performance.
Now that I have the information I'm not sure what to do with it!
Any help would be great.
Chris

Can your reader read any codes from other modules? Like from the ABS?

I believe so its the LAUNCH CRP129X code reader, it didn't come up with any ABS fault and that was the warning light that came up

Or it can not read the ABS controller?
Edit:- the reason that I said that was because so far it looks like it has only checked the engine controller, which is what most basic code reader will do.

- The code reader screen
download/file.php?mode=view&id=4959
I am sure it will read ABS.
