bit difficult to get in the polo tho :lol: not to mention you will need some seriously uprated suspension :twisted:

Bet it's a nightmare to change the head gasket on that!

Good god! It must feel like being a lego man attempting it on a dub ;)

25 thousand litres and 109 thousand horsepower..... not bad, even considering it's the size of a bus!
(still you could rope 24000 1043's together and get similar oomph.... just at considerably higher rpm - it gets all that HP at about 100rpm! --- or 5.6 MILLION lbft... in other words 100 THOUSAND times that of a 1.0, going 28 times slower..... so much hp at so little rpm, sweet mercy!)

mind you im still very confused as to how a 2-stroke diesel even works (no compression stroke...) let alone how it can be at all efficient..

i'm sure that link has been on here b4 at some point! wot an engine!

my gf's dad told me how they used to clean the cylinders when they were having a service on the cruise ships! they used to stand on the piston and someone would turn the crank shaft to lower them into the cylinder! how cool is that!
