Hey all, first post here so apologise if I miss anything.

I’ve got an 03 plate 9N, purchased as a first car about a year ago. Ever since I’ve had it, I’ve noticed the aircon never seems to turn off. Even with the fans set to 0, I can feel hot air blowing in to the cabin, and if I adjust the temperature I can feel the temperature of the air change.

This gets worse when I’m in a motorway, and on a warm day can get really uncomfortable, especially since the aircon seems to take a long time to react to any temperature dial changes (if it reacts at all that is, but that’s another issue for another day).

Is this normal or is it something I should get looked at?

You really need to get this car scan'd using a scan tool that can talk to all that car's smart controllers, that should reveal some logged faults in the HVAC system and give you a starting point.

Edit:- scan tools like VCDS or Carista - or let a good VAG Indie use his scan tool.
