[img][img]Hey, I’m very clueless when it comes to car parts and stuff. Anyway I’m looking to do my first car mod on my polo SE 2010 or at least I’m pretty sure that’s the model, I wanted to replace the stock headlamps with those LED ones with the dynamic indicators. They look the same shape as the stock ones and says it’s a plug and play mod, but it says that it doesn’t fit my car model for some reason.
So I wanted to ask if it would or wouldn’t fit my car? cuz they are kinda expensive. If they don’t fit then why not, is it to do with the wiring? If that is the case would it be possible to jank the mod is someway so it does work?
I’ve attached a picture of my car idk if you’ll be able to just identify the model from it, along with a picture of the head lamps I wanted to fit
Thanks

So basically I'm kind of on the same journey of upgrading the headlights and taillights on my 6R and this is what I've learned.
The connectors for the headlights differ between cars that come with xenon headlights from the factory and cars that come with halogens. The halogens have a 10pin connector and the xenons have a 14(i think)pin connector. There are adaptors for these that I think work pretty good.
The connectors for the taillights differ from the 6R to the 6C. They bots have the same number of pins, it's just the shape of the connector that is different. There are also adaptors for these both from 6R->6C and 6C->6R.
Most aftermarket headlights come with 10 pin connectors on them, but for the taillights I'm not really sure. I think the majority have the 6R connector but you are best to just google some reviews of them and try and get a peek at the connector or something like that.

as far as the headlights go, they should be the same for the polo 6r and 6c (both shape and connector).
for the tail light, there is a difference. i see no reason why they it should not fit, just make sure you ask for a 6R tail light.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. And it looks like the tail lights have connectors for both. I hope that won’t cause any problems

Dont mount resistor to plastic part of the car, only metal

Where would you recommend to mount it?

Any metal part of a car is perfect. Those resistors can get hot.
