2010 1.2 Polo Head unit change HELP

Hi all,
Bought a 2010 1.2 for my son. Looking to change the VW head unit a stock VW r300?? Need to check!
Anyway..
On removal the gap is over 200mm wide... Standard cages are about 180...
Not sure what to buy to house a 180mm aftermarket unit.
Any advice really appreciated.
