Locking and Window issue

I have had my VW Polo (2007 S55) for over 2 years now and have come across an issue. Recently my battery died on a cold and frost night and upon fixing this the next day I discover my central locking and electric windows no longer work.
I have never been able to lock my car from the passenger door as the mechanism is broken and I never bothered replacing it as it didn’t bother me.
I can lock and unlock my driver side door however it doesn’t lock the rest of them. The central locking button inside the car works and I have to use this to lock/unlock my car when I want to open the other doors and boot.
The windows are no longer working either, I have 2 electric front windows that stopped working when this issue occurred.
I have seen this issue posted a couple of times on here but couldn’t seem to find a solution.
I was hoping that maybe someone could get back to be if they e had this issue before or have any ideas what I could do as it is a very inconvenient issue.
