Steering wheel suddenly stiff

My polo 6R steering wheel suddenly stiff and i don't have any idea why?

Possible fault with your power steering pump,had two replaced on my r line.

My died last week 
, tomorrow replacement pump is coming.
Mine is/was 6R0 423 156 B ( made 2010), decided to buy a 6R0 423 156 C.
What i have noticed C models are newer years 2013-, and most have blank female connector for G250 ( I have deleted mine)
Fingers crossed that 2013- have some improvements in transistor quality.
Anyway tools to remove, 13 mm sprocket/ wrench for pump bracket, 10 mm for pump to bracket. 17 mm wrench for high pressure line going from pump.
Pliers for return/ line into the pump, and a flat screwdriver to push it off.
Torx for fender liner.
And please dont breake the connectors, push them down then pull on the little clip and remove.
