My Polos recently started making a high pitched noise when driving.
The noise only starts once the car is hot and when I apply the brakes it stops.
Blue motion 2012 and it’s done about 80000 miles.

Recently been MOT’d and service.
Pads, discs and front tyres were replaced last year.

Any ideas?

if the sound comes from the rear of the car it's the fuel pump. I don't think it's a problem

I think it sounds like it’s coming from the front, possibly one of the wheels. It’s progressively got worse over the last week

I'd think that it is related to the front brakes, possibly a small stone or just a build up of rust or you have had something touch/hit and so bend the front disc rear cover and it is touching the disc only under certain conditions.

Turns out it was one of the shoes on the back. It was badly worn down so I had to have both replaced
