Hello, anyone else get a snare drum sound from the engine when starting up from cold? I’ve been by my dealer told there’s a recall notice out for it (over a year now) but no solution from VW. VW can’t give me details as I have to go through my dealer, dealer won’t chase it. I’m looking for an update on the recall, or advice on what the fault is. The dealer says it’s safe to drive. It sounds dreadful though!

My car is a 2018 1.0 TSI. A friend had the same issue and has changed her car now as she was so displeased but I haven’t paid for mine yet!
