Hi everyone,
I've just bought a 2001 polo 1.4 16v 6n2 and noticed there is a loose black cable in the engine bay, which is cable tied to the battery lead. Please see photos. It clearly isn't right.. Can someone shed any light on this, and what it does/where it should go!?
The car is running fine but occasionally takes a while to fire up when starting. Vcds is showing an intermittent immobiliser fault, which may or not be connected to this.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Help! Mysterious Loose Cable in Engine Bay
This has been added by someone for reasons unknown, looks like it’s not doing anything so could be removed.
Open the blue scotch lock connector, remove the metal clip inside and then the whole thing from the car
