hey everybody!
I have a VW Polo 1.0L MPI with CHYB engine. I'm looking to upgrade its conventional OEM spark plugs to some iridium ones. Request your recommendation/suggestions on the what NGK/Bosch iridium plugs are compatible with this engine.

Have you looked on the NGK or Bosch websites to see to they offer or recommend an alternative Iridium version upgrade, normally NGK do list an Iridium where they have a suitable one.

Iridium versions, as you will probably know, are more expensive, the old chain driven previous family of VW Group engines were fitted with Iridium at factory with a recommended replacement period of 6 years or XXK miles, these non Iridium plugs have a recommended replacement period of 4 years - and that has worked okay for me with my wife's 2015 1.2TSI 110PS Polo 6C.

Hi RUM4MO!
Thanks for responding. I have looked up on NGK's Euro web portal but apparently there is no Iridium alternative mentioned for CHYB, CHYA engines. This is all you see for the said engine codes POLO Mk5 1.0 | 3 | CHYA, CHYB | 04/14 | ZKER6A-10EG | 96596. What a bummer! :(

Have you checked what all the parts of that NGK sparkplug mean, usually the type designation includes lots of stuff relating to that exact model of plug, and that might mean that they are Iridium already. I think many VW Group cars of that age used expensive spark plugs for some reason and the recommended service life was 6 years, the next version of Polo launched in at least UK in late 2014 ended up using cheaper versions of plugs with a recommended service life of 4 years - just a thought!
