Wondering if anyone has seen this before in a polo gti.
Car was overheating, put new thermostat housing and water pump in as it was leaking thinking it would solve this overheating issue.
the car is fine when driving through the air but when its in traffic or sitting idle the temp starts to creep up.

Sounds like the thermostat, it needs to be fitted a certain way. I had a problem on my old golf on the motor way the car temp would drop off the middle mark. My thermo was sticking open, your sounds like it's not opening or fitted wrong.
