brake fluid warning light

Hi, My wifes 2011 Polo has had a warning light and warning sound come up. The AA checked it and said everything is fine, no leaks, plenty of fluid and if you disconnect the switch on the resevoir the light goes off. I also notice if you slightly depress the brake pedal it also goes off.
