LED headlight module replacement (6C GTI)

Hi,
I'm actually posting for my sister. She has a 2016 GTI with LED headlights. The driver's side LED for dipped and main beam has failed. Replacing the whole unit costs upwards of £700, but she got a replacement for just the faulty module for £50 on eBay. A bit of a gamble, but the odds were attractive
. The trouble is we can't work out how to dismantle the main unit to replace the module. Does anyone know to get into these things?
