Cambelt service/change

Hi could anyone tell me the schedule for changing the timing/cambelt and do Polo owners change the water pump as a matter of course when changing the timing/cambelt

Imo around the 60.000-65.000 miles or within 5 years would be safe to change the cambelt. But if you have the owners manual you will find it in there. Changing the cambelt is not a cheap repair because of all the work involved, so if it's being changed you might as well make the extra effort to change the pump as well. If the pump breaks shortly after changing the belt you would have to take it all apart once more.

Juul, i have got a haynes manual coming i have changed several cambelts over the years, i would change the water pump as a matter of course on any vehicle.

the car has 86.000 and the full service history up to 2015
